Tortillis Camp –Amboseli

Location: Located on the edge of Amboseli National Park, one of Africa's loveliest national parks. The park not only offers majestic views of Mt Kilimanjaro but it's also abundant in wildlife including elephants, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala and leopards.

Within the Amboseli National Park (Amboseli means "salty dust" in the Maasai language) the award-winning Tortilis Camp creates an oasis - a place of peace, a place of solitude. The mountain is omnipresent, even when covered by clouds and sets the stage for your stay with us. Watch the sun set from the top of a nearby hill; take the time to observe the behavior of the elephant family groups. Whether you choose to explore or stay put, the friendly staff, members of the surrounding Maasai community, will delight in making your stay at Tortilis a most memorable part of your visit to Kenya.

"……and there, ahead, all he could see, as wide as the world , great, high, and unbelievably white in the sun, was the square top of Kilimanjaro".
Ernest Hemingway
