I have utilized the services of David Njau and Elida Tours & Safaris on each of my six visits to Kenya and give them my highest recommendation. For example, when I was in Kenya shortly following the post-election difficulties of a couple years ago, we were traveling by road when disturbances erupted in and around Nairobi. David and others from Elida were immediately informed by their sources, were on the phone with friends, police officers and other officials in and around some of these trouble spots, and expertly determined how to get me where I needed to be while avoiding any possible danger. My security was their top priority and they were well prepared to make sure I remained safe.

When I visit another country, I prefer working with truly local guides and tour operators rather than larger, less personal travel agents. David and his team deeply love their country and want you to experience for yourself what is so special about Kenya. Yet, they have the staff and can provide the range of vehicles (vans, land cruisers for safari, etc.) to accommodate your needs, whatever they might be. Your time in Kenya will be special and wonderfully memorable if you work with this team. And, you will leave having enjoyed the folks from Elida and knowing that you have made a friend in Kenya.

"On our Safari with Elida Tours I had the best time of my life! On our arrival the staff were all so welcoming and friendly, we immediately felt safe and in good hands. We stayed at The Mara Sopa Lodge in the Masai Mara National Game Reserve, the hotel was amazing! Every thing you could wish for; the food was spectacular and the staff were always happy to help.
