From Kenya's capital Nairobi, travel by shuttle bus across the Tanzania
border or an arrangement made with a sister company in Tanzania to you
up at the border, to the town of Moshi lying in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro
where you the night.
From Moshi, travel to the first of three magnificent game parks for some
exciting wildlife watching. Lake Manyara National Park is dominated by
the scenic Lake Manyara, fringed with pink flamingos, while the remaining
slice is marshes, grassland and acacia woodland. The high escarpments
offer spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley and the park is known
for its tree climbing lion, leopard and elephant. At your lodge enjoy
a few sundowners as the sunsets over the lake.
We trace the history of mankind at Olduvai Gorge before we encounter the
open savannahs of the famous Serengeti National Park, whose plains are
amongst the finest game viewing areas in the world, with an abundance
of wildlife and with luck you will see buffalo, lion, hippo and cheetah
to name but a few. In the evening
enjoy a sumptuous meal as you gaze out over the plains.
A morning game drive out of the Serengeti before travelling to the Ngorongoro
Crater, a world biosphere reserve and the world’s largest intact
caldera, we pause at the top to take in the sweeping views. Game driving
is hugely rewarding in this amazing reserve as Ngorongoro Crater is home
to Africa’s highest concentration of animals. We have our game drive
here the following morning.
We return to Moshi for a last night in a hotel via the Great Rift Valley
and its Maasai villages, and the following morning, you will be transferred
back to Nairobi where your lodge safari ends.
